I have a domain name, which simply got a registration date back since 1999. I have no archive over what the site may have contained, but there is no blacklist history about the domain name. I have a doubt, of whether this domain name will get SERPs advantage over other websites, even though the links that were build up are simply new ie. 3 months old. Before that the website had almost 0 Backlinks. I Guess, the weightage for Links are given according to the daily links we collect for / website in our each days. Because thats whats framing the Link Building history for that domain name. So, what will be the preference, and how can I improve it. Any suggestions?
I still think it has an advantage. My mothership website that has serious quality links, good optomisation and annilates yahoo and msn for just about any wigit search term.................. Has just been sailed past in G by the website that I knocked up in half an hour with just one inbound link on G. Sigh............. The website on the domain I just purchased had zero inbound links but was used for adwords, has just sailed past in on google. Perphaps the is a sandbox after all?
I get most of my traffic from google so it doesn't matter that much but I have noticed that other searches would not take that long. For example if your site name is related to the search phrase, and I am referring to competitive ones...
Using the allinanchor:"keyword", my site did not show up.. Well, I have to wait then.. Thanks for the information.
thanx for such a wonderful content. But is it true that every new site has to be in the sandbox for few months or not.
Thanks for this enlightening informations. But i think that to get a HUGE amount of backlink is a reason to go in sandbox. That happened to me.What i know is that i can thrown out by getting more links.
Just used the allinanchor:"mykeyword" and sure enough a couple of my keywords turn up on the first or second page, just type in "mykeyword" and nowhere to be found, although there are a lot of irrelevant terms to my keyword. Kind of seems a bit crazy that you can type in a search and Google will throw up a lot of irrelevant search terms even though relevant ones exist but they're in the "sandbox"
Hi, Can any one please tell me what is the EXACT difference Google Sandbox & Google Aging Delay. It's little confusing for me. Please elaborate it. Bill Harry
I tested out my sites like Jim and in almost all cases, I get good rankings in the first 3 weeks or so after which they lose their position for as long as a year or more. However, lately I had 2 new sites that reached PR3 after 3 months so it means they probably didn't get sandboxed. Looking back I remember that although these sites are poor in terms of content (only a few pages) and not all original, basically affiliate sites, but I had time and I did spend a bit of time on them in the first month. The SEO efforts I did in the first month probably did the job. In April, the sites remained PR3, but now because of my problem with Registryfly, the sites are down for a month. So I'm going to see what Google does in the next round.
PR doesn't go to sandbox. Read the first 5 posts of this thread. The summary though follows: Sandbox effect is when your main competitive keyword positions sit in a back yard playing with kids instead of bringing clients to your business Wait until they grow up, you should feed them well, treat them well, educate them
I like your analogy! As with real kids though, you sometimes just want them to grow up fast & be independent!
I've heard people saying that there is a relationship between sandbox and your domain registration status. They say if you register for many years at once and don't go private you'll spend less time sandboxed. Any opinions?
Few days ago I realized that why I haven't done internet marketing yet when I have such a good website design and handling skills. And putting internet marketing, SEO and nice website design skills together I can make some income . But as now reading that sandbox thing is Online marketing dead now ? You wanna publish your new site and start getting traffic but you can do it only after months of waiting. That doesn't sound good and puts me thinking if that online marketing is good for newcomers ? Thanks ! Janar
