    Hi guys,

I am new to all this page rank, SEO, stuff so forgive me if I sound like a moron! This is my first post on this forum, actually.

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a question I've got about Google. Basically... I find that some days my pages rank high for certain searches and other days (sometimes for more than one as is happening now) my pages don't seem to exist anywhere in Google, not even several pages in.

An example would be a search on 'van tour europe'. It used to bring up the page http://www.travoholic.com/euro/trans/van.htm as number one. Actually, even a search on just 'van tour' would bring it up with Google asking "Did you mean van tour europe?" I've got several other examples of this happening so it seems like a site-wdie thing rather than just one page being dropped.

Does Google just not like my site anymore? Is there any explanation as to why it comes and goes? Like I said, I'm new to all this so any help at all would be great!

    Cheers,
    Kirsty

welcome to the club of those who worship the google god. if you check out a few threads in this forum you'll see that there is a major update going on right now (though bob mutch of seocompany.ca has started calling updates "exports," which actually makes more sense, since what we know as updates are merely the release into the public domain of data google were using all along).

anyway my point is that there is a lot of messy stuff going on at the goole data centers right now and for a few days you will be bouncing up and down or (as happened to me on the 17th) falling through the floor. even during calm seas your ranking should bob gently up and down, anyway, the more experienced people here, such as minstrel, call that situation "everflux."
