It does look like there are some new serps rolling out but they look to be in flux still, personally, I would not count your chickens yet o and for me the new results are very good but not going to get to happy yet
yep unusual amount of visitors today ... twice as much as other days till this hour and all from google .... this is good
It isn't rolled out across all DC's but its live for me and looks good, it could still revert back though - I have seen this before.
Google still has some issues to work out, so some sites will float upwards (hyphens in domain, indexing, etc). These results are quite similar to the results on the 2 Big Daddy dc's when we were first notified of the update back 6 months ago. This looks quite good.
I'm not getting too excited. This happened a couple of weeks ago and then vanished the next day, and then again last week. I'm really hopeful you're right, and I have my fingers crossed. EDIT: Just checked a few KW's and they seem to be live. Hopefully they remain there tomorrow, and the next day, and the next..... Ian
Yep ... I'm seeing changes roll out on to the following DCs: 216.239.53.104 216.239.59.104 64.233.161.107 64.233.161.147 64.233.167.104
yeah but what i think we saw 3-4 weeks ago was a test of their algo.. They rolled it back made some tweaks and are now launching it full scale .. last time it was 2-4 dc's and now it's on almost all. So i think this is it. And yes this is completely seperate from the "issues" they admited to, so i think we'll see even more tweaking and fine tuning here.. but i think this is the new algo we are seeing and hope it's here to stay
I'm not sure if this is related but since this roll out I've noticed Google are using my DMOZ discription rather than my own. This is kinda annoying, anyone else got this?
I would think that with how wide spread the newer results are, this will stick. It was one thing to play with a couple dc's and roll it back, but they would now have to roll back over half of them.
G has rolled back entire updates that have propogated to all DCs and been out there for 7 -10 days. So, anything is possible. /tom/
True, and none of us knows for sure. But these results have been on some dc's for 4 or 5 months so their spread is more significant in nature.
I can confirm that it has rolled out here and the results are new. We showed up for a primary search phrase that we have never shown up for before. Whether or not this sticks is a different story however. Google has surprised us all in the past and rolled back new results after testing.
Day 2, more keywords appearing, but about 30% of them are gone completely from yesterday. Most of them that did appear yesterday did stay, so I guess we'll wait and see what tomorrow brings. Ian
