I just recently got the following message from google:

I was wondering if there are any alternative sites that will pay for firefox refferals?..

I was getting some decent cash from Firefox refferals, and would like to continue to use it.

    Thank you.

Yeah! all publishers got an email notification regarding Referrals! retirement. Because Google given launching pad to referals and created a new websites for referrals.

I think candies from Firefox+Google ended. They launched new referral program and approve only well-established white websites, I think so.

If you mean is there another way to make money from referring people to Firefox, I don't think so because if I remember correctly the deal was that people had to download Firefox with Google toolbar. To begin with, that's like referring people to download the best browser *but* with Google's spyware built into it. Considering that Firefox is a free download, I highly doubt anybody else will incentivize referrals for it's download.
