Google removed my site for a rather unlikely reason

    Hi,

I have an Wordpress blog and I recently moved it to a new domain name. Since this operation is rather complicated and I use a free hosting service (with a lot of bugs) I failed the first time and didn't manage to get my new domain up and running due to a database error. For about an hour or two my old blog (old domain) was offline and durring that time Google removed my blog from its index.

It is not duplicate content as my second domain name is only 3 days old and I didn't manage to get it up and running at that time. So the only reason I can think about is that during the time the blog was offline google crawled it and didn't found it anymore. As a result it removed it from the index and SERP's. Bad luck?

Now my new domain is up and running and I 301 redirected the entire old blog to the new one.

My question is: Can I safely resubmit my old domain name to google trying to get some of the traffic I used to have and transfer the page rank?

Also, could have something else trigger the domain removal from google?

Your help is very appreciated. Thank You!

You can not transfer your page rank. You can do a redirect of the old domain to the new. Also if you could load all the old content and play te wait and see but I would say make sure you load enough new content aswell.

Dont submit to google, unless nothing changes for a month or longer. Submitting to google automatically will consume more time. I would personally, bring the old website back until it gets indexed, get a few links or social bookmarks for it and after everything is ok, prepare the new website with fresh and old content and set the 301 redirect.

my opinion is little different. See, I know, what problem you are facing. I would like to suggest you,1) you just resubmit your blog/domain. 2) Create the Sitemap and submit it to Google Webmaster Tool. 3) in Webmaster tool, there is an option Settings>Crawl Rate> Set Custom Crawl rare: at this point increase the crawl rate for a month. It will definitely help you. MOST IMPORTANT: Don't forget to set up domain type (e.g. http or www) in the webmaster tool...
