I started a new site about a week ago and the day after it was set up it was on Google for the term "Democracy Arcade". Yesterday I noticed it wasn't anymore. I looked at it in Google Webmaster Tools and they say it isn't indexed. I also checked the Google Ban Checker from iWebTool.com and it just said it was either new or banned. The site is democade.net . Do you think it is banned or will they re-add it in a few days? I am worried because I have very big development planes and have already started saving up a bunch of money to put into it's development.
i wouldnt worry just make sure you are registered with google webmaster tools if you want to track status
Ok thanks. All my other sites had been added very fast but non of them had this happen so I wasn't sure what to think.
I it comes up for me when I search the URL, but not using the site: command: http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=http://democade.net&btnG=Google+Search&meta=
if you do search like the following and you find your site than you are okay. http://216.239.59.104/search?hl=en&lr=&q=Democracy+Arcade&btnG=Search
I couldn't find the exact explanation but a site's ranking in search results differ between geographical areas. At least it does when the site is new. In my first 2 weeks, my site ranked closer to the top when I switched google's language (Interface Language) to my native language. Maybe it's just a relation between my site being served from my country and my country speaking my native language. Not sure. I checked again before posting this message, but it was not the same. The ranking is the same both for local and English languages. And about the ban issue: I added my site to a variety of link exchange programs. And I believe that pissed google that they banned my site. After contacting them, my site came back in search results. And like other people said, it's perfectly normal to appear and disappear in search results in the first month. But again a personal idea: if you can't see results with "site:.." keyword then something may be wrong. best regards edit: I checked again, and for different keywords my site's ranking changes between my own language and english. by the way, my site is served from my country, but it's written completely in english
Google targets sites in many ways, so you are probably still indexed, just not registering as high of a search result ranking as you were in the past. I would just keep posting and make sure that their spiders have something to crawl
