Google Remarketing is a relatively new form of online advertising developed specifically to increase the number of conversions any website or company is likely to get from every potential buyer visiting site.

    Quote from official google page:

"Remarketing allows you to communicate with people who've previously visited key pages on your website, giving you a powerful new way to match the right people with the right message.
When you combine your keyword campaigns with remarketing, you might see higher conversions for your campaigns overall"

Google Keep list of visitors who visited to your website. You can use that list to show any ads only to those users.
These lists can be of differet type like
    Who visited your homepae
    who visited any particular page.

Now a day. you an easily created those audience list (remarketing list) via Google analytic. You must have adwords & analytic linked.

You know sometimes people visit your website and then leave without giving you a chance to convert them into customers. You lose your sales that is not good for your business.

There are a variety of strategies how to target these people, which website visitors to target, how to make the most of your remarketing ads, how to optimize these remarketing campaigns best.

In this article I found best practices based on experience and Google recommendations -http://www.semrush.com/blog/articles/how-to-use-remarketing-in-google-adwords-article/

Remarketing is good even for visitors who already converted. If you have a site that sells shoes, you could remarket to the people who already bought shoes from your site to offer them a special on socks. If you are going to remarket you want to make use of Google Analytics. Analytics allows you to add a remarketing code within the Analytics code on all your pages and you can decide later on which pages or combination of pages will make up your remarketing list. Remember, when you create a remarketing campaign you are only showing ads on the display network to people who have already visited your site. If you start to select specific websites as well you really begin to lower the number of people your ad may show to.
