Hello, Google has released a very handy SEO guide. It goes through various 'best pratices' you can do to your site to ensure it ranks well. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/11/googles-seo-starter-guide.html Hope you can find it as useful as I did.
We passed this around our whole company in the middle of last week. Getting everyone on-board (designers, interface developers, copywriters, technical, sales etc) is key. Glad Google has written it in such an accessible form.
They guide is not very useful for people that engage in the seo field for quite a while. be still it is nice to read.
I know a lot of newbies will love this. A lot of times it is hard to believe everything you read from some random blogger/site, even if they are well known. If it comes straight from the horses mouth they are more likely to trust it.
It sure is, but the real juice is not mentioned. Lots of great tips for newbies. Advanced SEO you will always need a trustworthy mentor for. You cannot think for a moment that Google with show you how to game them
nice thread , thanx for shareing. Here is live link http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/11/googles-seo-starter-guide.html
Didnt some1 already make a thread on this? And I dont think this book tells you alone how to "rank high", The info in it isnt enough, I belive it tells you how to "rank well/rank at all" good for new comers maybe
This is a very handy guide. I especially like how most of those items are so practical I almost hit myself, yet I find myself not doing them. Need to do so. Thanks.
Way cool find... I always suggest that you go directly to Google whenever you want their view on any subject.
