For one of my sites I just did a related:mydomain.com search and was HORRIFIED to find that the majority of the sites there have nothing to do with my website's industry. This in spite of the fact that I only have INDUSTRY RELATED links (all one way) pointing to my site, do NOT do any reciprocal linking, have never even visited any of the "related" sites listed by Google and on and on. What in the H ..eck is going on?!? I only link to two other sites from my website and they are both industry related. I do SEO professionally and have pushed all the right buttons with this domain. While only three months old it is now a PR4 and early indications are it will rank onto page 1 of Google for my industry's important keywords/key phrases; so why are all the "related" links from place like one is Ambien something or other - again never linked to a site like that - never even visited a site like that. Another is a gambling site and I avoid those like the PLAGUE. Is it possible for another webmaster to somehow buy links or something for your domain and get it in trouble. Know this has been discussed and Google says it is not possible; but what do some here think. There is NO way that my site can be considered related to 29 of the sites listed there. Maybe this is a sick joke by Google???
