There was a statement made this morning on one of the financial channels that Google stock was up on the news that they were significantly reducing the number of their contract workers. Would anyone care to speculate what effect this might have on webmasters if any?

For one, expect even longer delays when waiting to hear back from their support reps concerning things like reinclusion requests.

To me it’s just a cost-cutting measure to weather the economic turmoil. Mostly probably it might affect on the queries and response time

Yes, it can have an effect on some aspects like customer care, etc. but I don't think it will affect webmasters earnings a lot.

Well I think many companies that deal or have an intrest in selling adds are cutting costs.
