Google recommends dark background with contrast ads?

Google recommend that if you're using dark background, it is advisable to use contrast ad background.


Anyone tried this?

I've done the opposite on my site and blended the ads in. Maybe I should try this for a few days.

 

Me too, my ads are blended in dark background.

 

that works great if you don't actually want anyone to see the content of your site, but just the ad only...

 

i have tried this before, does not really increase clicks, blending is more common though

 

That makes the site look hideous! Blending keeps visitors on the page so they can click your hidden ads

 

I don't think people in general actually like dark background on sites, even though the ads really stand out.

 

Yes I agree with you Sites that have dark background and something flashing out really aren't "friendly" to users eyes

 

All about experimentation. Completely depends on the individual site design and the unique demographic you're dealing with.

 

i don't think its going to work. it looks horrible. only way someone would click them is if he gets scared and starts clicking all over the site.

 

I tougth that was the opposite....that the ads must be the same color as the rest of the texts....with the black you are expelling your visitors.
