You know, I have friends in Spain, in Italy, in France and even in the US who DON'T use Google! Indeed, they prefer more traditional and exact search with Yahoo and some people even do not use search engines at all if they want to find anything like a definition they use Wiki, when they want to look for the travel stuff - they turn to Tripadvisor, Booking. So Google will never become a monopolist of the search!
Well! Agreed with your opinion even Google local is also not doing well UK site getting ranked in India, whats the meaning of that???
I was not much excited with their personalized search either! but as somebody said, not just Google but anything at that position will do more or less the same stuff.
As frustrating as Google can be since they are so large, they are still providing the most relevant search results. In addition, their ease of use and familiarity for searchers is what keeps bringing everyone back.
Google doesn't have any competitors. We can all sit here and complain everyday but the fact is that doesn't change the fact that Google is, and will be for a long while, the best search engine around. People that think Google as a company is gonna disappear is in for a rude awakening. Google will be here till we all die.
I use Google mostly but I do like Bing as well. I find it strange though that some of my keywords rank so well in one and not the other. At times some rank well in one and not at all in the other. They both have great results though but Google does seem a bit more diluted because it just has more content I would guess.
It is because people around the world appreciate Google when it comes to hub of information Google still reigns supreme when it comes to providing the best and related searches. Bing and Yahoo serves the same search results and search engine optimizers easily rank on these SE's but compared to Google it will be tough and takes time to court the search engine and most especially your targeted audience. Its already comes out in your mouth because its the only SE that satisfied you most This is why big G is continuously updating their algorithm to serve the users the best and updated information. I'm not surprised because 25-30% of content in the web is duplicate according to Google, so I think its nature then I will correct that phrase its "Google is still ruling the world wide web"
Google is big as a search engine. But sometimes, the best source of information doesn't come from the SE! Yahoo, Bing, other trends will give you some valuable info...
Lot of peoples using google only, so many SEO'er also concentrating on google..next to google, yahoo is used in many numbers..Bing is third place only. Google provide more options, So from my point of view google is best than any other SE.
I often use the very same search query that made me switch from Google to Bing for searches. I was searching for a cheap studio for rent in a city nothern Africa and all 10 first pages on Google only provided me with "all inclusive hotels" and "apparthotels" (quite expensive) as results. So I search on Bing and found everything I was looking for. I did a test drive with more keyword phrases and only high mark stuff came out. Since then I only search on Bing. Google's search is dead for me and I hope for others soon too.
If sometimes you don't get relevant results from Google then it does not mean that Google is bad. Its one of the best income source for millions of Guys in the world.
Agree almost with everybody. Google is the king, and it'll be #1 for long time. But is it that bad? I mean it is easy to work with, has a lot of content and so on. So keep calm and google it.
Don't worry, who knows a new technology comes out better than Google. In technology world, nothing is stable.
Google loves spam and duplicate content what they do is throw the small spammers under the bus and make an example of them so the large spammers can operate freely and the corporation can maximize its monopoly profits this way they can cite examples of the large number of small operators spamming they shut down that generate little revenue anyway while letting the truly multi million dollars spammers operate quietly in plain sight. One of the biggest spammers is a G-O-P [g owned property] ytube which is a cesspool of pirated and duplicate content that they monetize for themselves ytube is ranked #3 on alexa in global traffic so therefore they are one of the top spammers on the web..themselves blogspot is #16 no spam there LOL pornhub is #27 right above huffington post..make your own jokes .the porn tubes display 99% duplicate content and probably 70% pirated material Dailymotion #86 tons of duplicate material less pirated than ytube Xnxx is #93 right above the NY times [they still hire journalists of a left leaning sort ..but they have original content] almost all duplicate and pirated content spam content youporn is #125 right below another newspaper the china daily again almost totally pirated porn spam which will be 90% the same as #27 #93 bongacams #140 right below AOL .#27 and #93 display stolen duplicate content copied from #140 which the small operators shaking there ass on sexcam produce and is licensed to the camsite but stolen constantly and reposted on the tubes like #93 we can go down the entire list and you will find thousands of spammers above any member of this boards owned websites how many here own a website in the top 100,000 ? that means the gman has ranked thousand of spammers and pirates above you the stats tell the story . they love spam and duplicate content and frequently rank the spammers and pirates higher than the original source in the serps because in this way the monopoly maximizes profits. lets not play pretend
Please I cannot login to Gunggo at the moment, I keep encountering server error 404... Is anyone using Gungoo I need to know.. I sent them email but haven't got response yet.
Google has the market and until Bing or another search engine introduce something revolutionary people will continue to use Google. It's really as simple as that.
I thought Google's rival is Amazon when search engine is being talked about. Amazon is currently the world’s largest online retailer and has made a lot of improvements when it comes to functionality becoming the No.1 competitor of Google. If you look into it Amazon is no doubt an online store but it also answers queries of people through its "product listing", just like Google search.
A lot of people find that Google search is good enough so there is no need to look for different search. And Google provides a lot of other services: Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar and more. I know some people who say they are addicted to Google. I use it all the time, multiple times a day , across various places. It's cloud storage is so useful. It works smoothly on miriad of devices. And it's free to use.
