I need to vent! Today I found that my rank for my main keywords has fallen badly. It's my first site - I added non-duplicate content every few days, done article submissions, directory submissions and spent hours and hours over the last 6 months.

The worst is, there is no one to talk/shout/refer to. I suppose the moral of the story is only a fool would put his lively hood in the hands of google. F**k them!:mad:

Yes, made that mistake before and won't do it again Google cannot be trusted.

You just can't pour everything in to a site, you need several sites with diverse traffic and income sources to mitigate the risk. And they wonder why there's so many junk sites and spam online.

Good point. Where do you find alternative traffic when everything seems to be Google?

Even though Google is the recognized giant of the industry I have had better luck with Yahoo.I have a couple of issues and questions in the last few days and emailed both Yahoo and Google.Google has NEVER responded yet Yahoo called me,left a message, and emailed me with some good answers.Sometimes I wonder why we put up with bad service when we are paying for it.Business and people go where they are treated well.

Yeah, I learned a good lesson today. Don't trust google. I even got an infraction for starting this thread in the wrong category. Silly me should have known a post about google does not belong in the google category? Well done the pedantic folks at DP - really are on the ball.
