If i am nowhere to be found in regular searches, but i am listed very high in an "allinanchor: keyword" search as of this week, how long will it take until Google lists me high on the regular searches?

The allinanchor command sorts sites much differently than regular searches. Just because you are high in the allinanchor search, it does not necessarily mean that you are close to getting regular rankings.

Nobody can tell you how long it will take you to get rankings. It is just based on too many factors. It might be 2 weeks or it might be never. Nobody knows.

If you are nowhere to be found, it will likely take a long time. If your site is related to pharmacy, it will be very difficult to get good rankings. That industry is just too competitive.

Just keep adding more unique content to your website and work at getting quality backlinks. Keep doing this on a consistent basis and you might get rankings soon.

ya thats what we are doing.. building quality links , to main page and sub pages, with the target anchor texts. we are also adding new content, just wnet from 25 pages to 70+ pages, waiting for google to spider the rest of the pages.

it's not a pharmacy site - its another industry.

The only way for determining the true rankings of the sites it by manually using the search systems of the engines and it will definitely take some time and needs constant work to go up.

It depends on why you're not already there. Here's the two most likely scenarios. The first is that you're out-optimized elsewhere. While anchor text does play a large role in rankings, proper on-page optimization can still make quite a difference when you're ranking poorly.

Allinanchor search isn't giving you the full picture. You need to also see how your site ranks for allintitle and allintext - see if you're getting dogged by your competition here.

If that's not the issue, then it could be a matter of an over-optimization penalty. They're pretty decent at catching on to very unnatural linking patterns (having the exact same anchor text for links all over the web).

It's important to switch in modifiers here and there. So for "bike accessories," I might also use "discount bike accessories," or "new bike accessories" - both will still help rank for "bike accessories." In fact, having one like of "bike" and another for "accessories" will actually help rank for "bike accessories as well."

Most white hats stop at about 60% optimized anchor text (or a little over - like 2 optimized for every 1 non-optimized), that way it doesn't throw up any flags.

Anyway, those are the two most likely reasons, in my opinion.
