Will the domain age of a website have much of an affect on google ranking? I heard that google trusts the site more if the domain is older, I check with archive.org site for age.
Yes, it will help the ranking. The older a website is, the more chances it has to get the most out of search engines. There are some exceptions to the rule but for the most part the answer is yes.
Domain age is now less important in website rankings.... You domain will automatically gain the status of authority domain once it starts delivering good user experience. Domain age matters if and only if your domain already possess some authority in shape of backlinks or PR.
But i don't think domain name age too much effect Google PR. Because of i have 28 days old domain name, i got Google PR3 for this domain yesterday.
With out a doubt. Aged domains are means for authority. Additional information : increasing the expiry date of the domains are also seems to be an authority domain
Yes of course, but what your exactly looking for? google ranking means SERP or PR? Make sure for SERP it's not matter.
Absolutely. Trying to get your page rank up is all about getting Google to trust your site. The older it is, the more Google trusts it. You can thank the millions of people that create website to dibble dablle with them and then quit because they see how hard it is to draw traffic to their website.
Definitely the older site is more chance able to get page rank higher. But back link is the main fact for getting good page rank with google or any other search engine. I don't know; is there any way to check the domain age?
Domain age is just one factor of many. It does help especially since alot of the new domains registered these days are for spamming purposes.
I'm fairly sure it has more to do with whether the old site has accumulated quality backlinks and such; after all, a really old site that is absolute crap has no authority.
you know i hear about age being a factor, and samurai uses it as a ranking column, but of course no one can quantify it. then again i hear about brand new websites hitting page one in a day or so through SEnuke. makes you wonder how much to believe?Â
