I'm not sure if this is the right section but I figured I might as well post it here. If anyone can think of a better category I'll switch it. If I have a Blogger blog, and I search the name of it with no spaces in google (As it appears in my URL to the blog) and it comes up, does that mean my blog has been indexed? Or does it mean Blogger.com indexed, and it's just showing it from blogger's index.
try searching for a unique phrase on your blog. Example... I have an obsolete blog at http://sarahknz.blogspot.com/ On http://sarahknz.blogspot.com/2004_04_01_sarahknz_archive.html I have a post way down the bottom which includes the phrase "a site run by Donna and Marc" If you search on Google for that phrase my old blog is #1 So this tells me that the blog is fully indexed. When I look at your site I can find bits that are indexed but the example included your email so I won't post that here. It's helpful to use a string that's pretty unique to your way of talking or your subject. Your writing style is very professional so it's hard to find something with a quirk to test. Sarah
Thank's for the feedback! I see what you mean about the unique writing to test it. Oh and do you think that the professional style of writing I use is good or bad? I figured it would be since my posts are mostly tutorials, and the more clear I wrote, the better people would understand. Adding a subjective style to the writing might add a little personality to it, but I'm not sure if I should risk it.
the writing style depends on the purpose of the site. If it's purely educational then what you have done is great. If you are selling yourself then you might like to put a little bit of yourself in there - while still being professional. Maybe link to some actual examples etc sarah
