Google punishes on different content

    Hello,
I have read somewhere that Google punishes you if you have different content shown in Google search and when you actually click the link you are provided with a different content.
This is mainly done in forum where people make Google Bot in the member group and make the guests to register before viewing threads.
Google indexes the pages but when you reach the page by clicking the indexed link you are provided with a page to login or register rather than content.
Could anyone confirm that Google punishes you in that case?
Also, if anyone would be kind enough to link me to an article stating that (preferably by Google)?
I also needed to know where I can report such cases to google? Because my competiting site is using this method and it would help me get them down on the keyword ranking.

    Thanks.

this could be right. some forum might have using this tactis to represent powerful contents infront of google bot. But we can't say it surely that every webmaster are able to track google bot or their (google's) algorithms of indexing pages. As i think, google uses millions of formula to track a page like real man page view. This is right that forum (some) uses script to track google bot and programmed to provide runtime high rich contents according to ip or agent name of google bot. But, we can't win against google.

it never mind how some forum owner is doing for google bot to provide rich content different from real users. Google can easily track this and can penalished them.

Actully how their algorithms is working i don't know. But i assumed that google uses two basic type of indexing formula to track this tactis one is
indexing with general google bot which publised the ip and agent name and all other required information publically and another is with their other bot which they keep secret from global internet users.

This two indexing result for perticular one website who is using the tactis to show rich contents infront of google will be different. Because the webowner has already predefined rich content and scripted for google bot cause they know the agent name and the ip of google bot and other required information. So the result will be same as the web owner scripted for google bot. But when google use another indexing formula (bot)which the webowner does't not know the agent name or all the required information to compare and identify the user as google bot then the result will be like human page viewer and the result will be different from google previous indexed result and which is sufficient to consider that the webowner is using some illegal tactics to get importants on google.

    It's not a new forum.
It's a very old and very very popular forum. Almost as popular as Dp.
I am amazed how they haven't been punished.
