It really isn't a war and its high time the comparison stopped. Facebook isn't a new social network, it has been around for a very long time with plenty of users. Google is going to get there but its going to take time but eventually it will.

I honestly think it could go either way. Google have rolled out some pretty cool new features but Facebook does have a huge leg up and who knows what tricks they've got up their sleeve?

And how do you measure which one will win? FBs Like and G's Plus are just good tools for better interaction of sites and users.

Facebook. In my opinion, people will not want to change to google+ unless they start offering what facebook already has plus more.

Google+ has a long way to go - they need to get their API sorted so developers can start doing their thing. Only time will tell.

Facebook is very popular site and it has large number of user and also have different functionality than Google+. So it cannot say Google will beat facebook long run but at last cannot say anything.

If you are talking about 2011...then Obviously Facebook is the King but if you are looking for future....definitely Google Plus will beat FB.
