    Hi I am experiencing some PR changes in some of my sites do you think the PR update is still occuring or has it finished ?

    I really don't care about PR (for me traffic is king) but couldn't let your comment pass...

    What makes you say its finished? Maybe its finished just for your sites?

    I can categorically state that I am still seeing internal page PR changes occuring on my sites (5 sites of differing size from 200 to 3,000 pages). Now considering my sites are hosted on different servers in the USA and Canada I don't think the update / PR rollout is over yet....

    Oh, and the changes are all +PR so not penalties being applied ;)

    Main update is over by now. Minor Adjustment takes place now and then.

    PR doesn't matter to you thats your point of view. For me everything matters PR, Traffic , SERPs :) So I really take care of all these issues for my biz.

    Even before or after the PR updates, as reading through a lot of threads, you will find that not major SERPS changes have been reported and this is another proof that Google does not look at the websites PR as the only way of determining their ranks.

    Matt Cutts has mentioned in the past that Google uses over 200 factors to determine rankings.

    PR update occur at a time that we never know. The update is just to make it visible to public.

    Google PageRank is good to check the popularity of the website on the web but one more thing, I have seen sites with any backlink having PageRank.

    I got a huge jump from PR 0 to PR 3 in 21 days for my business resource blog. Hope you too have such a success. i would be more concerned about the amount of traffic i am getting. Although I receive about 100 visits a day and it is quite a nice number considering my blog is just 1 month old, I am not satisfied. So link building and great content should be your main aim.
