Google PR Update?

I'm in the process of building links for my website and am a bit confused about the Google PR update.

My site has been listed on google for about 4 months, still has a PR of 0, but has relevant PR 6 and 7 links pointing in.

I'm not sure if my page is "sandboxed"

OK, so here is my question.

    1. when is the next major google PR predicted

    2. There are quite a few PR 6 links I have added, that have nor shown up yet ( from a week or so ago) when I use iwebtool. Does this mean that if they dont show up by the next google pr update I may be stuck with a PR 0, or PR3 for months ( until next google PR update).

    Thanks :)

    Drew

Well, the 'current' PR update was expected for August or early September. I have no idea why it is delayed. I am also looking for the current Google PR update.

In order to try to see if you are have a penalty you can try to make a search in Google with yourdomainname.com. If you are not on the top position then a penalty was applied to your website.

SEO_Headache, remember the google PR is merely an out of date representation of your site's ranking.. Unless your selling links you don't need to pay too much attention to it.

I understand what your saying, and I know that often content is king, but still I feel I do need some incoming relevant links to help postion the website.

I've heard of people having websites that do well without loads of PR, but they tend to have domain names that are 5+ years old or 80,000 + indexed pages.

Mike- thanks for the comment :)

My question wasn't just about the update, it was to find out more about this:

"There are quite a few PR 6 links I have added, that have nor shown up yet ( from a week or so ago) when I use iwebtool. Does this mean that if they dont show up by the next google pr update I may be stuck with a PR 0, or PR3 for months ( until next google PR update)."

    Thankyou

Also anticipating this update. Like others mentioned I was expecting it weeks ago. I have patience, but not a fan of the late entry lol.

Google just likes to keep us guessing.
