Google PR update

BLs displayed under the toolbar, in my experience, have always been one update behind.

 

Some PR0 pages from the digital point forums are showing up as backlinks!

 

VS, next update 10/10?

 

we went from 207 backlinks to 300+, but stayed at a PR5.

however it seems to be a "higher" PR5- pages inside the site increased a lot.

 

After a big effort with backlinks many of mine have actually reduced. I think this is due to a number of gambling sites being penalised this time around. People in this area are still working on why it happened. Just goes to show that you can work on increasing backlinks and still go backwards if your existing backlinks then disappear. Trying to remain positive and PR has remained for all these where the backlinks reduced. One non-gambling site has debuted at PR4 after being launched just prior to the last update so fairly happy with that result.

Any other industries been hit with penalties?

 

Very strange update.

Before this update Google have shown new links in backlink report but didn't passed PR from them and now there's not a single link that was placed after the last update on 1st June.

Maybe I did something wrong I'm talking about:
1) HTML block with 20 links on www.sota1.ru to mobiguru.ru
2) HTML block with 11 links on www.izcity.com to gameguru.ru
3) HTML block with 11 links on www.ferra.ru to gameguru.ru

They are all thematic and give me a lot of visitors by themselfs but I thought they should showed up in backlinks!

 

I'm showing an increase in backlinks as well Shawn.

Shawn, I picked up a basket full of BLs on this one as well as PR+.

 

Use the nubmer of backlinks from update on 1st June - they passed their PR on this update. It always takes 1 more update to pass you PR and only links that are stable and don't appear or disappear update to update passes their PR.

So these 323 new backlinks if stayed stable will give you PR the next update in July

Because if not this way you could have PR from ads campaigns and it could be thousands of backlinks

 

That's why people sponsor websites and get a link on each page

 

I'm still missing a few backlinks as well. Hoping to get them next update because according to compars chart I'll be going up to a PR5.

 

you should keep in mind that compar's chart is hypothetical- it's making a lot of assumptions. it's interesting to look at, but you shouldn't try to "read it" and make some sort of assumptions towards how many more IBLs you'll need to reach the next PR level.

 

Well my new Dubai website is now in Google after only 15 days with backlinks only from Digitalpoint forum and a travel forum.. not ranking too well at the moment, but that'll improve over time.

Now PR3 with just these backlinks!

Finally got PR movement on my sites. One of my domains (no content) finally got caught by Google. Went from PR5 to PR0

My consolation is that my SMS site is already PR6. From PR0 to PR4 last June 1 update. So two improvements in a months time. Looks like my link building campaign for it reaped rewards.

Internal pages on my PR6 sites finally got their PR5s.

that would also prove that forum links actually do work well. (have read some heated discussions about this )

 

One of my sites went from only 3 links and PR 3, to 46 links and a great big PR 3. Plus several of my best backlinks (PR6, 7, and 8) are missing!

Sometimes I hate google.

 

Could I buy the link from your 10/10 site?
