Google PR Update Question

    Hey all,
If the subdomains are already showing new PRs, does that mean the main site's PR has already been updated?

I'm really hoping not, because I was expecting at least an increase of 1 PR. Anyway, I'm still hanging onto a thread of hope.

Impossible to know for sure. Wait a while and see what happens.

Your subdomains or higher level directories could have more and/or better backlinks then your main URL, giving it a higher PR. Keep in mind that this update is not complete yet, you really can't tell for sure until it is.

    Is it over yet?

How do we know? - When will I be officially upset?!

My site PR hasn't moved (yet) but I'm still hoping it will!

"G" has many datacenters. Often you will have different PR depending on the particular datacenter which your query accesses at any given time. At present a particular site of mine has a PR of 4 on 33 DCs and a PR of 3 on the remaining 12 DCs of the 45 or so that I monitor. The same is true for backlinks (18-50) and indexed pages (167,000 - 601,000). This usually fluctuates during the update period and then stablizes ( to some degree) as the update ends. From this I would sumise that it is still possible that you may see further changes...

You can get a better view of this process by monitoring multiple DCs at...
