Google PR Update on One of my Pages

    Hi everybody
I was browsing through one of my sites, and I've seen a page has PR 5 (it's added after last PR update). This site's homepage is PR 4, and most pages have PR 2-3-4 .
Here's the URL of new page with PR 5:
    http://www.freeauctionscripts.com/ebay-success-stories/goldman-jewelry/
    How does this happen?
P.S. Since last PR update this site has gained many backlinks, and with next PR update it's possible to have a PR 5 or 6 (most likely 5) home page.

Have you been adding links specifically for this page? That could explain it.

No, I've not built any links manually since last PR update (for this site). And forum is the only active thing, I didn't have any time even to update the site.

    :SPECULATION:

I have been hearing about 'neighborhoods'

    A links to > B links to > C
    - Where A,B, & C are not relevant B is influenced slightly by A, and not influenced by C
    - Where A & B are relevant but C in not B is very influenced by A, and not influenced by C
    - Where A, B and C are all relevant B is positively influenced by both A, and C

PR of A effects PR of B which effect the PR of C - some theorize that if C's relevancy was better C could influence B, and B influence A

point: IF this were true - the end page C (the ebay store) could have improved its PR, which influenced the pages that linked to it....

okay...I'm way out on a limb here...anybody else...?

Yes but the question isn't whether one page effects another but whether google pr has updated on that page. Everyone reads then goes to look at mcdar's tool :)

If the PR used to say PR4 and it now says PR5...PLUS a quick check using any or the 3rd party PR checkers shows a PR 5 as well...I'd have to say it has been updated.

It seems to be a testimonial section. Maybe that Isaacson person was linking to it to show other people.

I've created this page after last PR update so it had PR 0 . All of other success stories pages have PR 3.
I don't see it on yahoo or msn.
it was never PR 4 (as far as I know). It was PR 0, and suddenly it's PR 5. No other pages have changed on the whole site (around 30.000 indexed pages by google).
I don't know, I'm not looking for an answer, just weird, and I wanted to share. I have never experienced anything like that before.

It doesn't show as PR5 when I visit it. It says "No PageRank information available" (grey bar).

I see PR 5. I've checked on McDar data tool and all data centers show PR 5 with 2 backlinks reporting.

It does show a PR of 5 on the toolbar and after checking it with the Page Rank Lookup tool confirms that it is PR5

It may be, but I don't see any changes with my site. I don't think there's an update going on yet.

With this post, I'm not claiming that there's an update. I'm not an SEO expert. I do some basic SEO for my own sites and I've never seen anything like that. So I was wondering if anybody has an explanation, that's all.

I had the same experience with one of my sites about a few months ago. One of pages gained PR4 before regular PR update.

    I find "http://www.freeauctionscripts.com/ebay-success-stories/goldman-jewelry/" a PR5

    but..

    a PR0

Note "/" and no "/". Odd

Individual sites have been changing in PR for the last couple of months, just nothing on a wider scale yet.
