Hi guys, When is the next PR update coming? What factors does Google take into account while evaluating PR for a site? Does a site have to have links from high PR sites to get a good PR? Or if it has good traffic, will that affect PR in any way? Could someone clarify? Thanks in advance.

I have heard people saying that they expect the next update soon (around the 6th), but really is could be anytime in the next two months.
Usually PageRank updates every three months, but the last PR update was several months past due, so nobody knows at this point. It's Google's decision. Keep building links though, and be ready for it.
I think it's going to be soon coz it's been months that they haven't updated.. we will definitely know when they though coz we spend most of our time here on dp, lol.. and we dp'ers are crazy about PR Rankings, so the moment they do.. the news will spread easily..
This is the long story, always google is upadating every around 100 days. But it conside severl matters. Sites quality backlinks contents etc.. Still no clear picture about google updates. keep trying to get traffic
It is hard to determine exactly when Google updates the PR but generally it is every three months. If this is true you can expect one soon. If you want to get hight PR the best way is to get many links to your sites, and hope for the best.
If it is true that google update PR in every 3 months than next update will be on 12/04/08 will see is that correct or not.
I thin kit's started, I've seen a few blogs I visit with different PR (not in the toolbar, but on the data servers)
This was the crappiest PR update ever..... I only saw two sites lose PR and my new sites were untouched...
