Hi Guys , You can consider me newbie member coming with silly Q . But Im really wondering how serious Google PR results can be considered to evaluate our domain/website when we sell them ? I see Here in the Forum most of users do mentione the PR of their sites when they try to sell them or to get link exchange etc .. Well , to be honest today is my first time I hear about Google PR , I did not know about it b4 . I tried to check my websites at one of PR checkers .. ( http://pr.blogflux.com/index2.php ) I tried to check my domain ( which is 469 000 alexa traffic Rank) and the checker gives me PR 0 another site of mine which almost has no traffic ( 2 million + at alexa ) , the checker results was PR 1 .. I do not know how this site`s rank is better then the one above ! Also I checked another web site of mine which is 3/4 years old , and the checker gives result of PR 3 . this site has much less traffic at alexa then the first one but has better Google PR ! So i was wondering , how right are these results ? why im asking this .. because I also checked the results for Yahoo , Hotmail websites . The checker gives Yahoo PR 9 , Hotmail PR 0 btw .. I post the thread and forgot to check the subject field . im sorry for the meaningless subject text , i could not correct it from my cp here .
PR means page rank! Google PR works only on the basis of back links If you have more back links ->GOOD PR ->good no of visitors which indicates your sites is a well established one It normally takes 3 -6 months for an website to gain a good PR! Normally the buyers look for PR of a website for these reasons: A)As Google's ranking(50%) is based on Page rank only and if you have a higher page rank google indexes your site regularly b)Webmasters can make money by selling links on a website!
