    It also depends on if the backlinks are on sites related to your sites topic.

    Look simply at yours backlinks what PR and subjects, than more close subjects and than above PR that it will be better for you.

    But seriously, toolbar PR is months outdated, and just smoke and mirrors.

    Get 1000 links from the wrong places and the search engines might think you are a spammer though!

    Or may on a future day.

    Or mabye you will get no penalty besides RSI

    It depends the link coming from the page, the pr on that page & the no of out going links from that page.

    first, the links should have a relevance on your site. second, quality links are great to have. in my estimation, you will be having a PR ranging from 3-5.

    i think it depands on the word which links to your website...if you will searching "word" and you will have 1000 links with the same searching "word" you can by happy :)
