Hey guys, I don't know whether this is a stupid/outdated/useless question. But I found this today only. I have seen many times before also that twitter profile page is showing some green on the PR toolbar but I thought its just like that we can see here on our usercp ( PR 2). But today I have checked the PR with many many profiles and saw that they are all different. For example these profiles are having (excuse me I dont know them) PR 5 - http://twitter.com/happyboy4u (It's my profile) PR 7 - http://twitter.com/britneyspears No PR - http://twitter.com/Web_DesignMark PR 0 - http://twitter.com/RomeoMillz Do you think that this can benefit for the links we tweet or the links we placed as homepage any way?
Twitter uses Nofollow so it doesn't really matter. Only time this would matter would be when another site that is "Dofollow" mirrors your Twitter page.
Twitter, FB are nofollow that I know. But what bout the latter part? can you explain it a little more? that'd be appreciated.
Yes you are right. But most of our works are for major SEs like google, yahoo and Bing. Traffic from other search engines are very low or even negligible. That is why I said like that.
But isn't still the chances are very less. ?? I think there may be millions of twiiter profile pages. What do you say?
Social Media websites are very good when it comes to traffic IF they are used well. Also being high ranked websites they are used in linkbuilding strategies to index one's page faster than it would be indexed naturally.
Yeah. But as a friend had stated above in some cases, popular twitter users get extra mileage via other websites. That may really help the sites grow.
Right, I only use twitter for traffic purposes. And, of course, it does general backlinks for your domain or homepage. IMO. This would also help your sites in SERP, especially you have your targeted keywords within your domains. Have a nice day,
