Anyone remember a post a while back referring to (a site/page with) an overview of the GPR logarithmic scale (basically a progressive linear) ? It had a variety of examples and discussed a number of metrics etc, and was quite simple. I've hunted but can't find it.. (not Bobs link chart, I have that). I'm compiling a reference/FAQ and thought it would be nice to include it. Anyone ? cheers, JL
Hi John, I can't find this post but you may be interested in the last study I've done about PR and backlinks (check out my blog). Best, PR Weaver
Hi Dominic Thanks, but already seen that one. The one I'm after had a brief intro, then linked to an external site. It was a simple overview of converting PR to a points/weighting system in order to describe the PR passed from one page to another in common units. The surrounding info was (as I recall) detailed and I found it informative. No biggie, if i can't find it I'll spend a little time writing up my own. It was really just a candidate for inclusion in a page describing a feature (the listings PR Yield metric) of my up and coming recip links directory. PR Weaver, I'll take alook at your blog, thanks Cheers all, JL.
as far as im aware it requires 10 times the backlinks to get a pr6 as opposed to a PR5 and there is a dampening factor of .15 eg links pass 0.85 of thier weight.

The logorithmic scale factor is between 6 and 7. That's 1 PR6 = 6 PR5, 1 PR5 = 6 PR4 etc. You can easily figure this out with a little math.
