Google PR is unreal! Still PR0 with more than 10,000 links.

I have to believe this time that PR is unreal. My site has built a pretty good reputation and backlinks over the course of 5th month now.

Take a look at this for my site http://autopinger.com: Link popularity chart

Can't believe that it's still PR0 and most of my site traffic didn't come from SE anyway. Anyone experience this?

    Really surprised,

Google shows a couple of backlinks to you site. But i am really surprised not even a pr-1 ?. You have got back links from the sites pages that are 3rd level, 4th level pages from the root. I could not able to find a good pr link page (not the site) pointing your site.

Google PR update is taking place nowadays. It is probable that your site will get a PR in a couple of days.

I have websites that have been given a new higher page rank, other websites have been given inner page rank but homepage still at "0" pr, and other websites with no pagerank changes at all being still at "0".
All have plenty of backlinks, the update may still not be over however.

Hey vinson - autopinger is your site? I have several blogs signed up, but they never seem to get pinged. Is it automated? Or do I have to do something manually? If it works - I will certainly give you some links!

Alistair and nonoka, thanks for sharing your comments.

Phynder, yes, I own Autopinger.com. It's automated but I'm afraid your blogs might be queued up in a long list of blogs which will take a while to ping. I'm coming up with Autopinger V2 soon and the autoping mechanism will be further enhanced to increase efficiency.

One question folks. How does backlink works SEO? Any link pointing to a site like http://site.com or any link pointing to inner page like http://site.com/innerpage.html. Are these both considered backlinks?

Cool - I look forward to the continued evolution of AutoPinger - it works great even when I am just manually pinging.

As far as backlinks - each page is its own entity - so, http://www.autopinger.com/ will have a set of backlinks and http://www.autopinger.com/recent/blogs.aspx will have its own set of backlinks. Depending on your goals, you have to determine if getting backlinks only to your front page is most important - or getting a good spread of links into your content pages is going to make the most sense. Others can offer their opinion, but for AutoPinger it seems it makes sense to concentrate on links to your front page.

Thanks for your great explanation. Btw, I wonder if those quick ping buttons that I offer for one click pinging work as backlinks to my site? I doubt anyone would link to my front page anyway :)

Is Google still updating or has it stopped?
