I had a website for the past one year and did nothing on it but put articles which i purchased (around 15000 of them). Google crawled it initially and then later dropped a hell a lot of pages. It was on PR5 a year ago. Now it has a Gray bar. I thought i should change the site and get it back to a decent one rather than put all the gibberish there. So i started a blog and hosted it on the domain. Now its a small site complete and on Blogger.com the problem is that i expected it to be at least a 0 PR after 1 month but see that its still a gray bar. The cache is empty and still no results. I realize that i dont have a ban on the domain as my Google Sitemap tool does not indicate it. What could i do to get my site to get back its normal PR. Note that i have a lot of Back links to the site but Google has taken back all those links too now... so the link:sitename.com does not work either. the site name is www.sbmct.com any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Warm regards Rajeev
your site might of gotten black listed, or thrown in the google sand box, but im not really sure, hmmmmmm
is there any traffic came from Google? use google webmaster services like site authentication, submit sitemap, etc.
you had all these articles indexed....and then all of a sudden they were gone.....googlebot was probably trying to crawl those urls and got all 404s.....
I noticed grey bar for a lot of sites, especially new sites, grey bar also for this thread, check it. I think that grey bar now means unranked, and will remain unranked till next pr update. So unranked it's different from PR0.
your site is banned . as a result of it, pr shows grey. pls look http://www.google.com.tr/search?hl=...r&q=site:http://www.sbmct.com/&btnG=Ara&meta=
Try following the Googlee webmaster guidelines 15,000 articles?? What bank do you know that publishes articles? Which bank if it does publish articles, would publish 15,000? Where are the 15,000 pages since you do not link to them from your site, It actually is 15,000 broken links or google sees it as you presenting something to search engines, you do not present to users. This is known as cloaking.... Good luck trying to fix the problems
I have noticed that Gray bar in other site's pages, I don't know what happened to Google's toolbar PR
not sure if it is banned, but it is definitely NOT listed in Google. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=link:sbmct.com&btnG=Google+Search http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:sbmct.com&btnG=Search
SEM Advance... I have clearly stated that i had revamped the site entirely and put in a blog instead. Please read mate.. And its not banned cos i checked on it on Google Tools. Its surely not banned. Any other suggestions would really help but so far... Too bad no one helps Except for LOCO.M's Sarcastic Post...
so you did not unintentionally link to some link farm? Or maybe caused by some spam comments? Or do you have the serve down for a week? that probably could bring your PR to -1, just my 2 cents.
Uninstall the google toolbar, get the alexa tool bar, and http://www.quirk.biz/searchstatus/ for PR. Use firefox box in the corner to search, and it's all good.
