I had a website for the past one year and did nothing on it but put articles which i purchased (around 15000 of them). Google crawled it initially and then later dropped a hell a lot of pages. It was on PR5 a year ago. Now it has a Gray bar. I thought i should change the site and get it back to a decent one rather than put all the gibberish there. So i started a blog and hosted it on the domain. Now its a small site complete and on Blogger.com the problem is that i expected it to be at least a 0 PR after 1 month but see that its still a gray bar. The cache is empty and still no results. I realize that i dont have a ban on the domain as my Google Sitemap tool does not indicate it. What could i do to get my site to get back its normal PR. Note that i have a lot of Back links to the site but Google has taken back all those links too now... so the link:sitename.com does not work either. the site name is www.sbmct.com any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Warm regards Rajeev
Try to add unique & quality content and update it, I hope google will catch it again. Remember SEO is ongoing process and you should implement things regularly.
I update my posts once a day now to make sure that google catches up with me. I think and hope that its going to work. Been doing it for the past week only though and i have been deleting a few pages from the site too as i found that it should not be there.
probably beacuase you had some links that dont exist any more you currently got obly 1 PR5 BL and some PR3 and PR1 http://www.smartpagerank.com/pagerank-backlinks.php?domain=www.sbmct.com&results=100 But PR updated isnt finished yet you can get anything from PR3-PR5
Grey PR can be due to some of the following: Site may not be in Googles index at all ( Like Yours ). or The site is very new and does not have inbound links
Did you read the very first line of the OPs post???? Perhaps you should read first before posting a response.....
quality? his domain has 80 yahoo directory links ,6 yahoo directory listing in total, he just need some High PR Backlinks
There are lot going on with Google. They still didn't finish the PR update. I would say wait until its over, your site would get indexed right.
i did not see any indexed pages from those web site. are you sure that you did not banned from google? http://www.google.com.tr/search?hl=...r&q=site:http://www.sbmct.com/&btnG=Ara&meta= shows zero results
OK mate let me explain my post to you, so that some sense might enter ur sem-advanced BOX.... Grey PR can be due to some of the following: <-- This explains why ppl have grey PR in general (thats the reason 2nd reason has nothing to do with his site...) Site may not be in Googles index at all ( Like Yours ). <--- This shows him why his site has Grey PR or The site is very new and does not have inbound links <-- This is a general reason and not related to his site :cough: :cough: did i mention it was related to his site any where!! Mind your own business mate....
The fact that you've changes your front page may make Google think it's a new site altogether. So you may just have to start SEOing from the very beginning. But if you have some inbound links already, it should be much easier.
Just checked your report @ backlink watch. It shows you have not quality backlinks. So its your problem with PR.
