On my blog site I have been noticing some very interesting behavior with the PR that google is assigning to inner pages. The homepage is PR5. Most 1st level pages are PR4. But, there are 2 inner pages that are PR6. These inner pages only contain a few links to some very high PR and highly trusted websites. There are no other websites linking to these inner pages, but the pages definitely have a higher PR than the rest of the site. The only difference that I can fin at all, is that the pages have very limited content and links to very trusted website's. The outbound links are the only explanation that I can find, and this could support several claims, which I have never personally believed, about the value of linking to trusted websites. Anyway, maybe someone can comment on a similar situation or provide some explanation on why this one is happening. The main site is http://www.merchantaccountblog.com The 2 sub-pages are: http://www.merchantaccountblog.com/processing-information/credit-card-companies/ and http://www.merchantaccountblog.com/processing-information/equipment-manufacturers/
They're not brand new, but I don't think they had better than a PR 1 or 2 as of the beginning of the last update.
