if you check this forums previous post, you can find some others topics with pr dropping. Most of this are Directory, they sell links & google dropped their pr.

if you had bough links in past and you lose it, than it may the one reason for getting pr drop.

but if you have just recently bought the links and some one who say because of that your website pr drop, than it's wrong.

just get good back links, every thing will be fine.

I did buy some backlinks from the past, so I have to wait how long until my PR is back to normal?

This happened to me a few days ago, there's a massive thread on it. I put it down to dupe content and using matched.co.uk without nofollow - I switched to wordpress and made sure everything is clean, if I don't get it back by the next PR update I'll try to contact google.

Sign up for a Google Account and login to the Google Webmasters Tools then Add your site to the list and Verify it... once verified then click on "Request a Re inclusion" on the hand side... here is the link: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools

There is your answer, my friend. If you do payperpost, you will lose your pagerank. It's a given. It's just a matter of time. Sometimes it happens quickly and other times it take a few months, but it happens none the less.

My site ( www.engineeringserver.com ) went from pr5 to pr0. Too bad but the traffic that is coming to the site is still the same although its doing better the last few weeks (over 1000+ unique readers a day/average worldwide)

Selling links with a pr0 site is a bit harder but if you get enough people visiting your site (and staying) you still can sell links for a good price.

one thing I've noticed is google aren't dropping my rankings but seem to be reluctant to re-spider my site which is worrying.

About three days ago, I almost disappeared from google searches, which can be very depressing given how much they normally send my way. I hope I can pop back in just as easily.

I know I'm not blacklisted since I'm still being indexed, but I've definitely been downgraded somehow.

Since I use their webmaster tools, I wish they would just drop me a line and say 'hey... you did this and until you fix it, we can't help you.' Wouldn't that be nice?

I think google cought your site and penalized it - try to remove all the paid links if this is the case and res-submit your blog in google , may be you can get your site rank back!

Yes its true that PR update has taken place and many sites have dropped same as urs.
    FIXED reasons:

    #1 duplicate content
    # link juice wastage : ex: http://xyz.com and http://www.xyz.com
    # less relevant links
    # not natural links

    Duplication issues:
    1) Article duplication
    2) Blog dupe
    3) Social and many other sites where same content is used multiple times even the content of the website itself.

Use www.copyscape.com to check for duplicates

PR drop main issue is Duplicate content
Though everyone say PR is not important but what i say it is still important to a certain extent
    Newer underestimate PR!
