Google PR & Bloggers

Google is concerned that paid bloggers will pass PR to other sites? Most of the bloggers that use paid blogging services had PR3 or 4. Lots had PR2 or less. Why is Google upset about this? It is not as large a factor if the linking sites are less. It is a bigger deal when the linking site has more PR.

Advertisers wanted visitors. Not PR. Why is Google upset? You can easily get a list of advertisers that use blog advertisers. They are not paid advertising directories-- needing more PR. I am confused.

They do not want people to buy Pr because that would make the sites that paid the most be listed the best. The site could be of no value but listed top of google

A lot of advertisers are looking at the PageRank. Google really isn't concerned with the passing of PageRank, they are more concerned with the search results being tweaked to favor a certain website.

But how can search results be tweaked by low ranking PR sites placing links? I am talking about the fact that Google ZERO'D a lot of sites for blogging about services and putting links in the post. A lot of the bloggers had no more than PR4. Tweak search results how?

One link, just one link, can tweak a search result.

So google is angry the blog advertising service was paid to tweak search results and not them? How does making zero PR factor into Google's fix?

It's quite funny really when people like Matt Cutt's himself gives out Dofollow PR7 links to SEO's who spend all day manipulating the algo.

I think I am confused because of the PR status for qisoftware.com's pages. My pages have always been a little whacky and for the most part I am like DMOZ. I do not accept advertising. When I had pr it was low considering the type of sites I had listed.

Yep. Advertisers are much less likely to buy text links on blogs that don't have a pagerank. Plus, the text link will be much less valuable ($) to the publisher.
