Hello all. Here is our issue: we want more accurate conversion tracking for PPC ads. For example, we have a largel adgroup that uses a popular keyword. This seems to cost us a lot of money based on the cost per conversion numbers. However, we also run an ad for our home page. This converts very cheaply and we assume some of the traffic that initiated at the popular keyword searched for our product and clicked on the .com ad. How do fix this problem to accurately track the popular keyword's conversions? Third-party tracking software? Better Google Analytics set-up? Please help.
lost me a little. I see that I can set a unique destination url, but how would a different url affect the conversion tracking? Thanks for answering.
Have you setup goals in Google Analytics? This way you can track with CPC data is converting to the goal you desire. Also, if you setup funnels you can see what path they took to get to the conversion, ect.
