Google Position Error

One of my sites says "no results" when i check it on googleposition.com, however when I search for it on Google it is clearly in 6th position (1st in some countries).

i understand that it is based on location etc, but I assume googleposition checks USA rank, where I am in 6th position.

Is there a better, more accurate position checker out there? How do you guys check your positions?

Only check via G webmasters tools. Other online tools are scarily not reliable.

Thanks, I never even knew that webmasters had this feature until you said it.

I'm also using scroogle scraper, which I find it quite accurate.

Yeah I had considered doing it like this, but google skews search results based on things such as personal preferences, location and your search behaviour. This means that you will often get a false position.

Those two sites are probably your best bet for checking your position.

Please do not rely on any third party tools for checking your SERP rankings. Its better to check them manually, because SERP rankings fluctuate very frequently... Because if your tool is buggy then you will remain under the wrong impression of good or bad SERP rankings.

Well, at this point of time we can just speculate things... I am sure this is going to be a tough competition for facebook.
It seems Google is all set to beat major social networking websites because the project appears to have many interesting applications like, +circles, +spark, +hangout etc.

It's cool, I'm actually loving Google Webmasters reporting of my position.

That along with Scroogle Scraper seems to give a pretty good indication.
