I have noticed more and more people are adding social buttons like Google +1 on their sites. The number one reason for this is that it adds weight to the site in Google's eyes. You obviously have to have people actually clicking the icon and logging into their Google accounts. Has anyone with a good number of G +1 counts experienced more traffic or even greater rankings?
getting a decent number of G +1 might contribute 10% increase of traffic and increase of ranking position. i can't remember exactly where i got that figure but i believe somebody who has experienced it told me.
Unfortunately I haven't had any increase in traffic using Google +, I must admit with everything else out there, Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Delicious, Pinit etc......its seems to be an ever increasing list of social networking and bookmarking websites to utilize and maintain. It can be a little overwhelming. If you can measure the traffic from each effectively then it would probably be more motivating to spend more time on each of them. Don't get me wrong I don't think its a waste of time, its probably more efficient however to use some core sites so that you are not updating and maintaining a serious amount of sites. I know this has gone a little off topic, but important to consider where you spend your time. I believe Google + is worth it, but you have to invest the time to really get it working for you.
i think it's more about content. either of these +1,facebook,digg,etc gives you a chance to get "viral" but spamming rarely works no matter how many you post. i thought you can still get +1 even without putting the button on your site? when a site appears on google search results, there is always a +1 button?
In my case it goes like this: Facebook, Twitter, G+. People add my site to Facebook far more than to G+.
I would like to say something frankly. I have tired being trying google+1, but i did not get any fruitful result.
I'm still waiting too. That's okay though, as time is an important factor on the web and we know that the search engines like our sites to be "sociable". I have added the social "icons" on my site for sharing...Google likes this. Catherine
Provably it works, but i m not sure about this. but every sharing is a support for a page to increase its PR.
I just start it, hope it will work for me, because now day lot of updates are going on. we cannot say what is going to happen next.
