Google Plus forum linking?

Can I link my google plus profile to a forum to show up in google searches?

but with a forum

 

A forum is a "public" community so why would you want that???

if your trying to do a "brand" google plus image they do not allow that

 

I post news on my forum and I want to get my name as author to be shown in google searches.

 

It's can happen, but must be done naturally. You use to be able to just submit it to Google+ and it would be added automatically. I believe now others have to like it to get rankings and appear on Google's search listings.

 

Now you need to verify your google+ profile with an email from the site. So if your site is xyz.com the email that can be verified should be . Your content in your site should also have "Thread by" or "author: name".

Your name and picture should also match your google plus profile.

I'm not sure if this has been done with a forum though, if it has, can someone please post a link?
