Google Places - How Come I Don't See My Reviews?

Discussion in 'Google' started by kevs, Jan 30, 2011.

A client just posted my first review. I saw it a month ago.
But now when I go to the page, I don't see it.

I emailed the client, wondering if she did not place it in the first place.

But indeed she sent me a screenshot showing it's up and active.

How come I don't see it posted on my computer? thanks!

This issue has been active on Google Places. We have also seen this same issue on various occasions. Simply ask your client to post again and it should work.

If this review gets removed then post a question on Google Places Support Forum. If you are lucky, you will receive reply :)

I did ask my client and says the post is current and active and sent me a screenshot. Maybe she sees it on her computer, but I don't see it on mine?

Google Places has always been buggy. Example..we still have a photo of a guy who used to work for us last year on our page. On the backend however, it is gone. Same for amount of reviews. On my computer it will say 30 reviews, and on coworkers it will say 39.
You can try deleting your cookies and see if that helps

thanks, tried on 4 browsers, so it must be gone, but why? It was a simple good review. First one a client put up.
I now have to ask here to repost? Honestly, I'm almost tempted to just open a bunch of email accounts and post these for them, let them off the hook. I feel like such a pest to my clients doing that.

It has to do with your cookies and ip. If multiple reviews are posted from the same computer ip to a listing this will often result in them getting pulled down off of the listing.

Local, well this one review, the first one, is definitely from the clients computer. I have heard Google has a bug. But that is good info to know. So most review sites keep IP tag on reviews?
