Google Places Account suspension. WHY?

    Hi DP's

I was wondering why recently IN GOOGLE PLACES WHY I could not find any of the four sites I have control over

I then went to my admin panel and found that they were all SUSPENDED? I have not made any major changes to any of the places info and have not gone black hat on any of the linking strategies. I clicked to reapply the listings, and it says it can take up to TWO WEEKS?

I have never come across this before and was wondering if anyone knows of a reason why this can happen? Thanks

one of the better way is to contact them and ask reason.

Didn't they mentioned the reason? Check if there's irregularities on where your site listed..

Just Post A Support Request To Google places Support team, They will asset you with the valid reason of suspension of your four sites.

    hmmm,

I could not find the reason on the page, nor who to post to. Then i went to my gmail account (that i very rarely use) it referred cryptically to a couple of things that MIGHT be an issue

this is where their system and automated suspension really sucks.

one thing is that it doesnt like you having a descriptive business name or mentioning a location BUT it requires you to advertise your real business name with them. As I am "Dog Walkers Melbourne", my business name seems to go against their rules - but I am not going to change my business name just for them. How ridiculous is this rule?

The other is that they only allow one business at one physical address? if this is true, why do they let you have more than one business in your google places account? I am a market analyst, a dog walker and my wife has a gluten free business. How does google expect us to only have one business in my home.

it would appear that google just decided to push a button and tighten up all its listings and forgot how stupid many of their rules are!?! I have tried to tweak around their ridiculous restrictions but i wont know for several weeks if i have appeased the ivory tower google gods correctly. I cant find the Support team email - any ideas?

well there is NO actual place that you can send a request for info etc for google places. I ended up in a forum on google where other people have had this kind of problem - but not the exact same.

the listings are not spam, they previously werent in violation and it has really hurt several that were region specific.

other various solutions offered by those members it has turned out that a google suspended account in google places actually means you are banned on that account and wasting your time. You have to dumb down all listings then delete them, then make a new account with another google address and try and claim your businesses back, which means each must have a completely different address and phone number for each.

I imagine that no one in the history of IM have run more than one business or one site from their home!

Anyway, hiccup is that google maps still recognizes two of my businesses at the one location, so I have had to send off a request via google maps to delete one of the businesses (yes on that page it appears there is a link to do such a thing). Sure that may take a month or so, but when they do that, if they do that, then i can send a request to verify a google places business and they will send out a postcard which will only take another month.

Anyone know of a speedier method?
