Ok I own a website where 90% of it is entertainment and not inappropriate at all.. but I would guess about 10% of the website is not appropriate for adsense because of explicit talk in the forums. Is it ok to put adsense on the appropriate pages only, then use another ad network for the explicit / inappropriate pages? I feel like it would still be ok with Google because their ads wouldnt be on any bad pages and only be put on clean pages. Thoughts?
actually the content guidelines for adsense starts with "Publishers may not place AdSense code on pages with content that violates any of our content guidelines". But in the rest of the text refers to sites. So I am positive you won't have a chance with adsense on you website.
Google is very stringent on its rules. There are many revenue sharing sites or content forms like hubpages, quedoo, infobarrel etc. where many writers are contributing on different topics. These sites show Google ads only on pages which meets the Google guidelines. You could place ads on particular pages but there is high chance of getting your adsense account banned. If I was in your place, I would monetize the site with other means, not with adsense.
