Google Phrase Matching

  1. #1
    assuming someone searches with quotation marks for a particular keyword/key phrase, would punctuation in the middle of it break the keyword in half?

    For example, if you are targeting "Wireless Phones" and set a page title to "Wireless (Phones)", would a search for wireless phones (in quotes) return that result?

    That page would have a good chance of being in the results.

    Google does not strictly adhere to all quoted punctuation in queries.

    It is more important to them to give results based on what they think
    you are looking for rather than strictly adhere to query syntax.
