Google Personalized Home page problem in a web-browser

OK this question is not directly webcoding related, but it is related to Google ...

You see, it's that if I am using Firefox as a browser (and having Google's "Personalized Home" opened in one of the tabs), when I log-off from the internet (not sure if "Work Offline" needs to be checked), then the one tab in which Google's "Personalized Home" page: http://www.google.com/ig is loaded starts quickly opening and closing (like twice per second or so), and that brings system to a crawl (especially if the process has normal base-priority); well, maybe not the whole system, but surely the one window (and probably all other windows "running" in that process") in which the mentioned tab is opened.

So has anyone else noticed this odd "behaviour" ??!

P.S. -- Although it is true that I use Firefox with "MOZ_NO_REMOTE" user environment variable so that each profile/instance runs in its own dedicated process (for details see the "Firefox's management of processes and threads" thread that I've opened on MozillaZine forums back then if you want to), so that means that this affects only one of several process (i.e. each for its profile), but anyway ...

    thanks in advance, tayiper
