Google penalty

I have couple of sites that were once (in the past) bidding directories..

And Google penalized them (Google penalty)

They were changed to regular directories for about a year or so

But Google still kept the penalty.

How do I apply or tell Google that they are not bidding directories anymore..

and how to get the penalty taken out?

    Any help is appreciated

On your website www.BidForRankDirectory.com, it still shows on the top and bottom, "bid $1". I am not sure, but it could be the reason.

A little more of changes might help like emphasizing it is now a human edited directory...

Try to introduce some radical changes to the site, that will cause Google to "recalculate" it again.
I would go for some new pages, and Titles update

Have you tried to update Google about it with Google webmaster tools? I'm sure you can get some help there - especially if you need to relist your directory.
    Google frowns upon paid links.
