Google penalty received

    Hello,
I've become the victim to a Google Penalty for two of my websites.
A few hours ago I've had no idea what I've could have done wrong, and I've put in a reconsideration request in Google Webmaster tools.
An hour or so later, I realized I had 1 page with just the alphabet ABCDE... etc. And this might cause duplication problems, as I've checked with copyscape, there are a lot of other pages with just the alphabet. I've put some text on it now. I've also removed almost all of the adsense.

But my question is, since I didn't confess to google what I've done wrong (external duplication) in the reconsideration request, will Google have some mercy on my soul?
Can it really take weeks to get re-approved? Why didn't Google send me a f'ing warning???

Anyway, should I just wait, or should I remove everything of the banned websites and just start new ones (they were on a subdomain anyway)?

If your sites are banned, forget them. Buy new domains and start from beginning with very careful.

I agree, just start new one. Hopefully this time everything goes well and you don't get banned.

If your domains are banned, then no way are you going to get your account back, so there's no sense in worrying about it much. You might aswell submit an appeal, but I doubt it will get you anywhere. Start again with new sites/domains and hope that nobody reports you to Google for having multiple AdSense accounts.

God dammit... For these things I hate the almighty Google. They are ruthless
I am lucky my whole domain isn't banned, but just the subdomains

Is better to start a new one with a new ip or hosting, if you are in G's blacklist it will be hard to get it back. Good Luck

It's been a few weeks I've been working on the websites, so the loss is not that big.
They are subdomains, but the main domain is not affected by the ban. I'll recreate the subdomains and behave.

Stick with them, chances are when you are 'behaving' one day you will get praised very well when the penalty are removed.

Do you really think it was the alphabet ABCD... content duplication caused the penalty? This is a common practice for users to find the pages easily. If this is true, google is really like the "Soup Nazi" on Seinfeld - "No Soup For You" if you did anything made him unhappy. This is sad.

I don't know about the OP but Google banning sites for good reasons is not sad, they're cleaning up the garbage.

It might not have been the best websites on the web, but I've seen worse. The ABCDE duplication is the only reason I can come up with. Other thing I've thought about is over-advertising, but my guess is that Adsense would have warned me. I had 3 Ad Units per page with little content.

So easy to say: Start a new website, and what post a redirect?
They should respond sooner, so i suggest waiting.

Strange thing has happened, the message of the violation of the Google Webmaster Guidelines is gone in Webmaster tools...
