Guys a quick question if someone has experienced some ranking drop in German market ? I have a big website that being promoted in Germany with lots of PR and TV ads. (Beg your pardon for not able to provide their website due to the privacy policy. )
We experience a ranking drop since 29th of MAY, seems like an algorithmic penalty ?!
    • All brand terms Minus from position #1 dropped 2/3 positions
    • and all Money terms minus 100-300 positions
Any information about similar experience and solutions will be highly appreciated,

    Thanks

Please check your complete back-links and remove all Spam links or disavow from webmaster tool. Now bad links may impact your website instantly...

As Pawansharma has stated, check your backlinks and remove the bad links. Bad links can give short term gains, but in the long run you risk a Google Penguin penalty. When you have unnatural links, Google will think that you haven't got good quality content that
will get backlinks on its own. This will give you a lower ranking on search results.

How do you know if a backlink is bad?

    1. The links come from countries that are not related to your business. For example you run a law firm in the US. Suddenly you get links from Germany and Belgium. This doesn't look natural.

    2. Links come from websites that are just set up to link to other websites. This type of websites have plenty of articles but there is no coherence. This is a website that is set up by some seo people, who want to artificially promote websites.

    3. Links from websites that post duplicate texts. Some websites fill their pages with copied texts. Also they include links to artificially promote websites. When Google Panda takes action against these websites, you will be hit by a low quality backlink to your site.

What you should do in this case is to check if your SEO company has resorted to buy bad backlinks to your website. This can explain why you have lost much of your rankings.

If you want to know for sure, then hire someone to do an seo audit on
your site, then they will be able to tell you for sure what you need to fix....

There are only handful of issues...

    1: bad seo/links
    2: bad content
    3: over-optimized anchor text.
(so if you are using nothing but money terms
in your link building, then you could get a penalty...)

If your issue is over-optimized anchor text, then stop using
money terms, and start using more brand, generic, random terms....

You should be monitoring your link profile on a regular basis. Even
"good" link builders can submit your site to bad/unrelated sites...
and I would bet the majority of your site has unrelated SEO....
most seo done today is unrelated niche which can harm a site...
(even if the unrelated niche has authority....)

Possible negative SEO was done on your webpage. I would look to see all the fresh backlinks going to your website and work backwards from there. It is tough but not impossible

Every search engine has their own way of indexing pages you just have to make sure you are following the rules and regulations.

As for Google, as a lot of forum members in the thread said check your backlinks. And add them to disavow. Also, I try time to time searching the same sites like my, but with scum goals. It also has bad options for your ranking.
