LOL! But I wasn't playing shrink... I was puzzled. I did take it as a negative comment on Google. And personally, I'll trust Google with some of these services more than the competition...
nullThis will be a great way for Google to handle all the payments they are receiving/sending. This will save a lot on processing all the transactions. I also heard a rumor that Google was considering going head to head with Ebay itself as well.
I can only see it as being positive... this continual monopolosation worries me, but experience seems to show that this sort of service is better provided by someone with an established clout. PayPal seem to have improved a bit recently, but there is still evidence of complacency IMO. Maybe this will shake the tree?

Very good point, Google could grab some significant market share if they expand into markets that Paypal doesn't service. I'm usually hesitant to do business with people who don't have Paypal, mostly because I'm lazy.
I read from Redherring that the service is called Google Wallet... http://www.redherring.com/Article.a...or=Industries&subsector=EntertainmentAndMedia So I tried wallet.google.com... it failed...
