A WebmasterWorld thread has people taking notice of the ranking changes as of last night after 6pm EDT Some history on Panda. Panda was released in February then Panda 2.0, the international rollout, hit in April and then Panda 2.1 was rolled out in May. So June is a nice time for Panda 2.2 or 3.0 - did you notice any changes? Will this result in sites finally recovering from Panda? Source: Seo Round table
February panda update was good for me and my website traffic went high by 200 visitors for next 2 months. After 15th MAY my website traffic has again gone down by 200 visitors. so panda is really affecting a lot.
Surely serp gets stricter to make the result more wholesome and accurate but knowing Google ranking guidelines still not changed, keeping the quality of optimization process and improving it may save sites for any updates in the future..
yes, there is a huge impact in search result with this Panda release. Mostly e-commerce sites went down in the results. hope the search is getting more filtered with the updates.
It's hard to nail down the characteristics of a Panda update event but the discussions at WebmasterWorld have calmed down and they are treating Panda claims with great skepticism and looking for more data. I am pretty sure that if the consensus over there wells up in favor of calling a "panda update event", they'll probably be correct or close to it.
google panda isnt really anything if you know what your doing some sites go down but if you know what you're doing then you dont have anything to worry about I still blast some of my new sites with spun content with xrumer and they all come up in the serps
Most e-commerce sites are also very informative. If G demotes e-com sites, it will be blocking access to lot of useful information on the web. It was widely reported in WW that most of the sites in page 1 serps after Panda update are hardly updated and have obsolete content.
Over my network of sites, I see some changes, namely 2 sites got from page 1 to page 20, and these weren't some thin affiliate sites but blogs with nice content.. And other sites went from page 10 to page 1. So something is cooking. However I'm convinced that if you keep at it, good content that users actually enjoy reading/watching always will come out on top
Along with my 70+ websites (mine and clients) it is pretty stable but some changes occured in last 2 days... one strange thing is that I have one website that is once on 2nd page and in 2 hours nowhere in google, then again on 2nd page and again nowhere...and that happens last 2 days all the time...
I have also experienced the update for past two days as for my top keyword, my ranking has gone down from #2 to #6.
I have seen one of my website with solid content (6 months old) from page 1 to page 5... I hope to get back ranking as I the site is built on good solid content, proper seo (no blackhat).
panda updates somehow have helped me to bring my competitors down and I'm now closer to page 1 than them.
Haven't seen any difference this past week..the only difference was after the Panda update, my visitors went down from 3,500 a day to 1,800-2,000 a day
Thanks for sharing! Some reported their rankings dropped, while there are some whose websites were taken off the search pages.
well, after that, i was still confused. If i post a same article to many differenct sites such as blogs or press release sites, what impact does google panda have? Sorry for this silly question, but i really want to fingure out and i don't wanna get my efforts in vain. Thx in advance
I am not seeing any changes on my any keyword. Matt Cutt also not announcing any changes on google this time.
