Google: pages from Australia

I've got a site for a lolly shop in Australia. Its a new website without much seo yet (hence the poor PR and rank). Problem is that the domain name is http://www.oldvillagelollies.com and the site is hosted in the USA. So I'm guessing that for these two reasons (not a .com.au and foreign host) the site doesn't display at all when "pages from Australia" is selected at google.com.au

What can I do to get the website to list in the "pages from Australia"? Does the fact that it isn't recognized as an Australian site effect its ranking on google.com.au?

    Thanks

If it's a .com domain, you would need to move it physically to a host with servers in Australia.

Yep. Why not just register the .com.au and move your site there?

Hosting on an Australia server is overpriced.

Yep, very overpriced. .com.au domain names are over priced as well.

Not really. .com.au domains are only $25AUD per year on average.

Is missed traffic costing you more than it would cost to change domians and hosting?

Probably. If I did change to a .com.au name what kind of problems might I run into with search engine rankings. I guess I'd have both names pointing to the same website, so the rankings shouldn't drop. Will I have to do more SEO for the .com.au name as well??? I guess I should have gone for the .com.au name to begin with.

Would changing the domain name and leaving the hosting in the USA solve my problem?

    Thanks.
