    Google, who prides itself for providing fresh and relevant search results, has old and stale toolbar PR data.

    PR is simply a marketing tool for Google to keep people talking about Google. And it apparently works.

    its been almost half a year since I have not been updated with Google PR. from Pr 3 it just dropped to N/A I really don't know why. All I know is that I was following there guidelines just to be safe.

    I could be wrong here, but isn't something like that sometimes temporary (maybe the pagerank data becomes unreachable for a short time)?

    It's probably to try and stop link selling. I could see them going to once a year updates. That way people can't build sites just to sell links on them in 3 months. IDK.

    It is a new strategy from Google. Maybe PR will never change from now. I think it is good for all sites. No so much spam. We all look for high PR site to put comments.
